We’re looking for a professional geek, no degree in geek studies required (yes you read that right, we really mean GEEK and not GREEK).
We’re wintranslation, a translation agency whose dynamic team aims to connect people by breaking down language barriers for people all across the world. Pretty cool right? We think so too, and we need someone to help us break down some more barriers.
Picture this: our company is asked to translate a web site into multiple languages. We have to work with double byte languages (i.e. Chinese) and right to left languages (i.e. Arabic) and some translation and design tools won’t work with these languages; we’d ask your help to figure out what tools we should use. Or let’s say a client comes to us with a special file format we’re unfamiliar with; we’ll ask your help to ensure the smooth running. Can you help us make our website more mobile friendly? Our printer won’t print, can you figure that out? Or if our worst nightmare comes true and one of our project manager’s computer shuts down without warning, you guessed it; we’ll be screaming HELP!
To put it simply, we’re looking for someone with technical and problem solving aptitudes but we don’t care about the degree, as long as you know your stuff whether you learned it at school or at home.
If you’re up for the challenges, you might want to say goodbye to your dry cleaner, because we wear jeans on a daily basis. But, wait, there is actual work do be done in our conveniently located office, 5 minute walk from Billings Bridge on a bad day. Though there’s no real bad days here since we truly enjoy what we do!
