Huiping Iler is the founder and president of wintranslation. She started the business in June 1998 as a home-based, one-woman operation and built it into a million dollar business. Having led the company through fourteen consecutive years of profitable operations, in 2008, Iler was one of a select group of businesspeople who received the highly regarded Ottawa’s “Forty Under 40” award. Iler is a Certified Localization Professional after completing an intensive Localization Certification Program offered by the Localization Institute. Sandra joined Wintranslation in 2002 as a project manager. She has managed specialized and diverse multilingual projects for clients such as the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Government of Canada – Public Works and Government Services Canada, Canada School of Public Service, Canadian Tourism Commission, Ministry of Agriculture, the Government of Ontario, the City of Ottawa, Caterpillar, Magna, Patients Beyond Borders, MTV, Armani Exchange, among many others. She has also managed consecutive and simultaneous interpreting assignments for clients such as the RCMP, the Canadian Consulate, and Immigration Canada.Bologna is active in staying on-top of the industry’s standards and new technology. She attends the American Translator’s Association’s yearly conferences, leveraging employee talent conferences, as well as search engine marketing workshops. Bologna is fluent in English, French and Italian and holds a B.A. (Hons) in French Language & Literature from the University of Windsor, Canada. She also attended Université Laval, Quebec, Canada for studies in Quebec culture and language. Bologna is a member of the American Translator’s Association and received Trados training in 2006.
Sylvie Shen joined wintranslation as a project manager in 2011 where she has managed multilingual projects for clients such as Scotiabank, Michigan Scientific Corp., Memorial University of Newfounland, and others. Shen is also responsible for testing and implementing a new project management system and a new translation tool for wintranslation. Prior to working for wintranslation, Shen gained extensive experience managing and supporting document and software localization projects in the Information Technology and Computer Software Industries. She has previously worked as a Globalization Engineering Coordinator for IBM Canada Ltd., a Localization Documentation Specialist for Cognos, an IBM Company, and a Documentation Graphic Specialist for Cognos Inc. She also possesses full professional proficiency in English, native proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin, and a working knowledge of Japanese. Shen holds a BSc. in Computer Science with a minor in Business from Brock University, Canada. She has also co-published research articles in Computer Games Workshop 2007 and the International Computer Game Association Journal (2007).
Azaëlle Elliott-Bouchard is a recent graduate from the Translation program at the University of Ottawa. She joined on as a project manager after completing an internship, and now manages several French and multilingual clients such as United Way Ottawa, PWGSC, and Farm Management Canada. During her internship, she recruited multilingual translators, particularly for aboriginal languages and assisted with SEO campaigns. She also recruited for the French internship program, and now manages it.
Sheza Khurshid joined wintranslation in 2014 as Web Marketing Coordinator where she works on the company website, blog and manages wintranslation’s social media pages. Her work focuses on creating engaging and informative articles, newsletters, and other content for clients and those interested in learning about translation services and related topics. She works on maintaining wintranslation’s online presence through ongoing SEO campaigns, as well as through various outreach campaigns. Additionally, she works with clients to ensure they are satisfied with wintranslation’s services, and to see how to better serve current and future clients. Sheza is a graduate of the University of Windsor from which she holds a B.A. as well as an M.A. in Political Science with a focus on Media Studies and Communications.
Frédérique Mantha is a recent graduate from the University of Ottawa, from which she holds a BA in Translation with Specialization in French-Spanish-English. She completed her practicum at wintranslation before joining on as a project manager. During her internship, she focused on recruiting Aboriginal language translators. Today she manages several French and multilingual clients. Frédérique continues to translate into her mother tongue French; she does volunteer translations for TED among other projects.
