Huiping Iler,
President |
Huiping Iler is the president of wintranslation.com, a language service she started in June 1998 as a home-based, one-woman operation and built into a million dollar business. At wintranslation.com, Iler has worked in linguist recruiting, project management, and online marketing capacities. She writes a regular column for digital-web.com on how to make the web truly "world wide." Her articles have appeared in Target Marketing, marketingprofs.com, Multilingual Magazine and American Translators' Association's Chronicle. She frequently speaks at international conferences on issues related to web site localization, cross culture communication, and search engine marketing for multi-language and multi-country sites. She has spoken at the Search Engine Strategies conferences, Association of Language Companies' annual conference, Carleton University's Sprott School of Business and Online Revealed, a tourism industry e-marketing conference. Her business profile has appeared in Canada's national radio CBC as well as daily and national newspapers such as the Ottawa Citizen, Business Edge and Windsor Star. Iler holds a M.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Windsor, Canada and a B.A. in English Literature and Linguistics from Xiangtan University in China. She also has a certificate in international business from the Forum for International Trade. She is also a graduate of Gerry McGovern's Killer Web Content master classes and Search Engine Marketing Workshops advanced training program. Birgit Samuel,
Manager of US operations

Prior to joining wintranslation.com, Samuel worked at Intel Corporation where she held multiple positions that ranged from German linguist to managing large localization projects and freelancer teams.
She lived and worked in several countries/continents including Germany, France, Israel, Africa, and USA where she gained a great deal of translation, computer, and management experience. Her jobs include working as a technical translator at the engineering department of the US Army Berlin, and also under contract for UN and government offices in Africa providing linguistic services and computer training in one-on-one, group, or classroom sessions.
She speaks German, English, French, and Hebrew.
Over the years Samuel attended multiple translation, management, and productivity workshops, and was among the first to localize software into German. She has worked in the translation and localization industry for over 20 years and was trained in the latest technology and tools of the localization industry.
Samuel graduated from the Friedrich-List commercial college Berlin, and holds a BA in Social Sciences from FHSE. |

Sandra Bologna,
Project Manager |
Sandra Bologna joined wintranslation.com in 2002 as a project manager. She has managed specialized and diverse multilingual projects for end clients such as Caterpillar, Magna and CIGI (The Centre for International Governance Innovation), and multilingual interpreting assignments for clients such as the RCMP, the Canadian Consulate, and Immigration Canada. As a recruiter, Bologna has enlisted highly specialized language professionals both freelance and onsite for clients such as Intel and the RCMP, for all languages including those hard to find, such as Susu and Kannada. Bologna is also working on Sales and Marketing in an attempt to expand clientele and grow sales revenue. Bologna is fluent in English, French and Italian and holds a B.A. (Hons) in French Language & Literature from the University of Windsor, Canada. She also attended Université Laval, Quebec, Canada for studies in Quebec culture and language. Bologna is a member of the American Translator’s Association and received Trados training in 2006. |

Felicia Bratu,
Project Manager |
Felicia Bratu joined wintranslation.com
in 2003 as a multilingual desktop publisher (DTP). In
this role she was responsible for all foreign DTP projects,
with particular focus on Chinese, Russian and Arabic
typesetting. She managed desktop publishing projects
for the UN and UNESCO through their communication agencies.
Her articles about multilingual desktop publishing have
been published online and offline; some of which have
been translated into French and Chinese by different
sources. Bratu is also responsible for improving the company’s
translation and typesetting process by integrating computer
aided translation tools with desktop publishing applications.
In 2005, Bratu started working on increasing web traffic
and site rankings for wintranslation.com. As a result,
most of wintranslation.com’s web pages now have
good rankings on Google and Yahoo and online revenue
has more than doubled. Prior to joining wintranslation.com, Bratu served as
a desktop publisher and editor for the Romanian
branch of International Data Group, one of the world’s
leading technology media, research and event companies.
Bratu holds a BA in Industrial Robotics from the University
of Craiova, Romania. She also attended numerous html,
javascript and CSS courses at St. Clair College, Canada.
In addition, she is a graduate of Search Engine Marketing
Workshops’ advanced training program.

Deyu Tang,
Project Manager |
Deyu Tang joined wintranslation.com in April 2007 as a project manager, bringing with him nearly ten years of experience in translation and software localization. Tang started his career in the language industry in 1999 as a bilingual desktop publisher at Alpnet China (now SDL China). He was the first generation of foreign language typesetters to be professionally trained in China. After Alpnet, Tang accepted a position at Boffin China. Tang worked in managerial roles in desktop publishing, project management and engineering, overseeing sixteen employees. Tang has handled thousands of localization projects including software, website, database, audio and video. He worked with global companies such as Microsoft, Intel, HP, Dell, GE, and McAfee. Deyu holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Anhui University in China. He is a ThizLinux Certified Network Engineer and LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) Engineer. |
